OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The Division of Data, Analytics, and Delivery for Impact supports and strengthens the generation and collection, analysis, use, and dissemination of data and evidence to promote better evidence-informed decision-making in the Member States. Its goal is to build capacity in member states to monitor the health of their populations and the impact of health interventions and to promote evidence-informed policy decisions. The monitoring of WHO's Global Programme of Work 13 2019-2023 (GPW 13) Impact Framework is also a key function.

The Department of Data and Analytics is responsible for monitoring progress on the GPW 13, strengthening country health information, data generation, and evidence creation in collaboration with partners, and addresses critical data gaps for priority health topics. It also serves as the Division focal point for collaboration with other departments with regard to primary data generation efforts and analysis. It undertakes an analysis of health trends and determinants.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
1. Independently manage the clearance of statistical information printed and published online, involving careful review and comments as needed.
2. Streamline the clearance process, including improving on the paper-based system.
3. Assist team with standards-related projects to publications and the Global Health Observatory.
4. Keep track of officially-released estimates
5. Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: A first-level university degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology, or other related areas.
Desirable: An advanced degree with relevant public health, health information, or statistics content.

Experience
Essential: A minimum of 2 years' experience in analyzing and/or management and dissemination of health data, of which at least one year at the international level.
Desirable: Experience in working with international organizations, preferably within WHO and/or other UN agencies.
